Army Cpt Tye Reedy talks ‘The Hornet’s Nest,’ Afghanistan War

The-Hornets-Nest-movie-poster-257x350Army Cpt. Tye Reedy spoke with The Global Dispatch/Dispatch Radio about the new film, The Hornet’s Nest, which takes audiences into the depths of the war in Afghanistan.

The film was put together using footage from two embedded ABC journalists, a father and son, Mike and Carlos Boettcher. Reedy says viewers will be up close to the action, danger, explosions, “bullets whizzing by” – noting the only thing missing are the “smells.”

Directors Christian Tureaud and David Salzberg used over 500 hours of footage from the Boettcher to create a total immersion into the conflict. With the tagline: This is NOT based on a true story, This is a true story” Reedy details what audiences can expect and what they will learn from the film.

With an early release and screening in Texas and Oklahoma, the film expands to a wider release throughout May – check out the full schedule and plan to support the film. For the schedule Click HERE
