Michel Gill discusses ‘House of Cards’ playing the POTUS, Kevin Spacey, joins ABC’s ‘Dangerous Liason’ pilot

EXCLUSIVE: Netflix made a big play in entertainment when they partnered with David Fincher and Kevin Spacey to develop House of Cards. Now the risk seems like a “no-brainer” and star Michel Gill talks with The Global Dispatch/Dispatch Radio about the show, playing President Walker, the cycle for a villain like Frank Underwood and some thoughts on what may lie ahead.

Michel-Gill-photo-199x300Gill discusses the casting process, moving from Broadway to the role as President and getting “comfortable” in the role. He confesses the process and information made him “…really want to work with these people” – meaning Spacey, Fincher and writer Beau Willimon.

Spacey plays a complex and entertaining villain which Gill discusses thoroughly, noting how great is the rise and fall of the villain. Netflix didn’t waste any time renewed House of Cards for a third season and Gill’s comment dig into the appeal of the show and how this sets up season 3.

Michel discusses life after season two of cards wrapped, spending time with the family and the “great realities” of real life.

Gill will next be working on an ABC pilot ‘Dangerous Liason‘ (unofficial title at this point) with Katie Holmes, Melissa George, Rufus Sewell.
